The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)

FCA is the largest Christian sports ministry in the world and focuses on serving local communities such as Auburn and East Alabama by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Jesus Christ. For over 60 years, FCA has sought to impact the world through Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes, and for 50 of those years, it has been done in our own backyard--Auburn University and East Alabama.

Chette Williams

Rev. Chette L. Williams, Sr. is in his 13th year as Auburn University‚Äôs football team chaplain. He is Campus Director for the Auburn University Chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Director of Urban Ministries and President of Chette Williams Ministries. A noted speaker, author and vital member of the Auburn football program, Williams ministers on a daily basis not only to coaches, players and their families, but to numerous staff throughout the athletic department as well. Through Bible studies and counseling sessions with players and coaches, he counts it a privilege to serve the Auburn Family. Whether offering guidance, encouragement or spiritual direction; his impact on both players and coaches has been profound and God-inspired, resulting in many souls saved and many wayward Christians brought back to a growing and productive life in Christ.

By God's provision and grace, FCA has grown to a total of seven staff members who make a difference in the lives of coaches and athletes at Auburn University and in the East Alabama community everyday.

Randy Roberts, Auburn University Basketball Chaplain and Sarah Meadows, Auburn University FCA Women's Ministry Director serve under Chette's leadership; and together they boldly pursue the mission of FCA: to present to coaches and athletes, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
